Aerial Application of
Public notice is hereby given that the Rangitikei
Environment Group will carry out aerial
Spraying using the herbicide -- Versatil, along
the banks of Otaihape Stream from SH1 to
where it joins the Hautapu River and along the
banks of Hautapu River from the former
Taihape College site in the South to Spooners
Hill Road in the North. The Spray Plan, which
includes a map, is displayed on a board at the
Taihape Service Centre (Town Hall) along with
other relevant information about Clematis
Vitalba (Old Mans Beard) and Versatil.
Spraying will occur on one or two mornings
between the hours of 5.30 am and 12 noon any
day from the 16th January to the 20th February
2012. Spraying of the area between Papakai
Road and Spooners Hill Road may continue
beyond 12 noon (north of Sensitive Areas). The
intention is to spray during the school holidays
and as early as possible in the morning when
fewer people are out and about. The total spray
time is estimated to be less than seven hours.

Clematis Vitalba (Old Mans Beard) from the
Rangitikei District scenic reserves. Ground
spraying has already commenced and will
continue through to April 2012.
The public are advised to stay away from the
spray area during the above mentioned times.
Once the aerial spraying is completed, a sign
"Aerial Spraying -- Completed" will be
displayed on the board at the Service Centre.
